After the November 2016 election, I was feeling hopeless and nihilistic. But instead of wallowing in despair, I need to get organized. I need to show up and pitch in to help defend the communities whose rights and lives are most threatened by his presidency.
In the weekend after the election, I made this zine of ideas for ways to resist Trump and his bigotry. Drawing these pages was part self-care and part activism.
I’m putting this zine online so that anyone can download it. All the images are Creative Commons, so please feel free to use them for noncommercial purposes. You’re welcome to print out this zine and distribute it at protests or gift it to a friend or turn one of the pages into a poster that you put up at your desk. Just please don’t sell it—if you do want to distribute this zine commercially, email me at mirk.sarah[at]gmail.com so we can set up an arrangement where you donate the proceeds to a social justice-focused organization.
This zine is a small thing, but it’s a gift to you. Keep surviving, keep thriving.
