Not everyone is going to hoof it to the historical society or pick up a dense history book—but pretty much everyone is interested in how their state got to be the way it is. This series of 10 comics tells little-known and marginalized stories from Oregon’s history in an engaging, relevant medium.
In January 2009, as Obama was being inaugurated here in the US, I spent a month traveling around England with Chris, a former guard at Guantanamo Bay, and Moazzam, a very generous former detainee. This blog documented their amazing and transformative trip.
On a budget of exactly $0, I’ve written, filmed, and edited three fundraising videos for the Independent Publishing Resource Center that have raised over $20,000 for the nonprofit. Check out the videos on Kickstarter and YouTube. They’re cute! They involve yetis.
